Robert Eldon Wright, 80, of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, died Thursday, March 9, 2017.
He was born February 25, 1937 in Canton, Illinois, son of Eldon Edward and Lucille Geraldine Smith Wright.
Robert was reared and received his early education in Canton, Illinois, graduating from Canton High School in 1955.
He worked as a tool and die maker at Gale Products in Galesburg, Illinois for 30 years. After retiring from Gale Products, he moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas in 1984. Robert worked in maintenance for the Arkansas Department of Corrections for 15 years.
Robert was a member of Watson Chapel Baptist Church. He loved his church, riding motorcycles, gardening and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Lily Jane Stockman.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Reuter Wright, whom he married March 14, 1959 in Moline, Illinois; two daughters, Brenda Hawk (Eldon) Morrison of Monmouth, Illinois and Lorrenda (Bruce) Hopkins of Champagne, Illinois; two sons, Eldon Duane (Rhonda) Wright of Powell, Ohio and Leslie (Mary) Wright of Galesburg, Illinois; brother, Gerald (Yvette Reuter) Wright of Galesburg, Illinois; six grandchildren, Aaron (Stephanie) Hawk, Sara Hawk, Alyssa Wright, Jared (Sara) Wright, Jason (Emily) Litvin and Ashley (Drew) Robinson; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Choir Tour at Watson Chapel Baptist Church, 5514 Pinnacle Lane, Pine Bluff, Arkansas 71603.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017, at Fairview Cemetery, in Fairview , at 11 am. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
