Canton – Lila Louise Lawson, 84, of Canton, passed away at 1:05 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence. She was born on November 16, 1932 in Canton to James Llyod and Bernise (Rawley) Cook. She married Donald L. Lawson on November 22, 1950 in Canton, he preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Robert “Bob” Cook, and two nephews.
Surviving are two children, Tonya (Ray) Markley of Canton, and Donald J. Lawson of Canton; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Lila was a past member of White Chapel Methodist Church. She loved to go fishing and mushrooming.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at Orendorff-Breeds Cemetery in Rural Canton, IL. Pastor Jim Reynolds will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1995 N. Main St., Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to Donor’s Choice.
