Lewistown – Frederick E. (Fred) Simpson Sr, 85, of Lewistown, died at 11:40 pm, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on April 22, 1931 in Orion Township, Fulton County. He was the son of Frank and Stella (Norton) Simpson. He married Joan E. Whittaker on June 13, 1956 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on March 3, 2003. Also preceding him in death were his parents, five brothers, and three sisters. Surviving are three sons; Fredrick Simpson Jr. of Canton, Steven Simpson and Roger (Carla) Simpson both of Lewistown, grandson Kyle Simpson of Lewistown, two step granddaughters; Krystal Michael of Lewistown, and Rachael Michael of Peoria, and a sister Patricia Shipp of Tremont.
Fred worked for Caterpillar Inc. and retired in 1987. He was a lifelong farmer and was a member of the Lewistown Masonic Lodge since 1966. Fred was also on the Fulton County Board and was a Real Estate Agent.
