Canton – Norma “Jean” Busby, 81, of Canton passed away at 2:49 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on June 17, 1935 in Peoria, IL. to Norman and Mabel (Flinn) Zuercher. Jean married Robert Busby Sr. on March 31, 1957 in Canton. He survives along with two children; Bob (Deb) Busby Jr, and Patty (Doug) Bergstralh, and one granddaughter Samantha Busby all of Canton. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Steven Zuercher.
Jean enjoyed china painting, reading, doing puzzles, and sitting on the porch watching birds come to the feeders. She also enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and her cat. Jean was an active member of Sigma Phi Gamma.
Graveside services will be 11 am Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton. The Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
