Canton – Clarence Alan “JR” Wilkinson Jr., 41, of Canton died at 2:43 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born July 10, 1975, in Canton to Clarence A. and Charlotte D. (Filker) Wilkinson. They preceded him in death.
He is survived by four siblings, Lisa (John) Goodwin of Pekin, Joe (Ginny) Wilkinson of Galesburg, Dawn (Mike) Giacabazi of Canton, and Sharrie Wilkinson of Rushville; six nephews; and five nieces.
JR was a self-employed contractor, working in the Canton area. He enjoyed the outdoors; fishing, riding four-wheelers, spending time with his dogs, and landscaping. He was a member of the Hanna City Sportsman’s Club.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
