Mildren Carolyn Hobbs

Mildred Carolyn Hobbs, 82, of Canton, passed away at 9:36 am, December 7, 2023 at home. She was born in Glasford to Marion and Mildred (Ashby) Johnson on November 16, 1941. They preceded her death along with her two brothers; Ray and Jed and one sister Peggy Johnson.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 62 years Lloyd “Buck” Hobbs. They were married February 3, 1961. Also surviving are her two children; Debra (the late Mort) Waimon of Naples, FL and Todd (Lori) Hobbs of Canton, seven grandchildren; Bo Allen, Brooke, Ashlyn, Hunter, Sophie, Taylor and Cole, four great-grandchildren; Karsen, Blake, Jared and Rylee and one sister Marion (the late Butch) Barnes.

Carolyn was a devoted stay at home wife and mother for many years. She also worked at Square Deal Market, JC Penney and McCall and Eastview elementary schools. Carolyn was devoted to her faith and her family was her life.

She will be fondly remembered for her zest for living life and her love of flowers, sunshine, playing cards, Sunday dinners at Bernadotte and the St. Louis Cardinals.

Services will be 11 am Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be the night before from 5-7 pm. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Canton.
