She was born September 1, 1934 at Blyton the daughter of John J. and Marguerite E. (Bloomfield) Zimmerman. She married Alfred E. Nelson on June 30, 1953 at Wiley Lutheran Church rural Ellisville. He died July 9, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, a son-in-law, Todd Sepich, and a grandson, Jordan Marinich. Surviving are one daughter, Deena Sepich of Canton, two grandchildren, Brianne (Jack) Doyle of Canton, and Vanessa (David) Vandermeer of Galesburg, three great grandchildren, Mia and Cruz Doyle, and Gunner Vandermeer, one brother, Thomas (Barb) Zimmerman of Smithfield, and a nephew, J.C. (Jody) Zimmerman of Smithfield.
Ardith graduated in 1955 from Graham Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, and worked as a Registered Nurse until retirement. Ardith was an exceptional nurse and was very loved by her patients and her co-workers, and very loved by her children and grandchildren. She was a member of Cuba United Methodist Church.
Cremation will be accorded and a private graveside service will be held at the Cuba Cemetery with Kevin Stoneking officiating.
