Also preceding her in death is her parents, daughter, Pat Hyatt, brothers, Richard, Bob, Wayne, and Ralph, great-granddaughter, Molly Kay O’Brien, and daughter-in-law’s, Sandi and Linda Russell.
Surviving are her children, Jack Russell Jr of Banner; Dixie (Steve) Saunders of Canton; Chuck (Joellen) Russell of Brereton; Deb (Bob) Stewart of Canton; twelve grandchildren, several great, & great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild.
June was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandma, and friend, she was a grandmother to many kids that were not hers, but they called her grandma. She was known for having the best homemade donuts, popcorn balls, and treats on parade days, and always had a large number of kids, and adults on the porch of her home. She was a housekeeper for several people in the Canton area, and having never driven she would walk everywhere she went. She and Cliff owned & operated Cliff’s Donut Shop in Canton for several years. June was a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, a Cub Scout, and Camp-Fire leader.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 PM (Noon) on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, where a memorial visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of services. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Cremation rites will be accorded. Burial of ashes will take place in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
