Dorrance was preceded in death by his parents, brother Donald Doubet, sister Barbara Reed, two grandsons; Earl Clark and Michael Doubet and grandson-in-law Clinton Masters.
Dorrance graduated Class of 55 from Fairview High School. He retired from Gates Rubber Company in Galesburg after 30 years. He had many passions in life. While he enjoyed play cards and farming, his greatest love in life was his horses. He was also well known for his humorous nature. If he wasn’t stirring his coffee, he was stirring up trouble.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Life be held at a later date.
To honor Dorrance’s love of horses, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Double Dunn Ranch for youth inspiration. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton are in charge of arrangements. To leave online condolences, please visit www.oakshinesfuneralhome.com
