Peggy Jo "Peg" Davis, age 71, passed away at 11:35 pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at her home in Rushville, Illinois. She was born on April 12, 1950 in Rushville, the daughter of Harry and June (Danner) Dutton. On May 1, 1970, Peg married Mike Davis in Astoria, Illinois. He survives.
Also surviving are her two sons, Brant Davis of Rushville and Matt (and Adrienne) Davis of Browning, Illinois, her daughter Amy (and Dan) Shaw of Rushville, six grandchildren; Austin Davis, Braden Davis, Kayde Shaw, Brenna Davis, Kaylee Shaw and Cooper Davis, her brother Jim (and Robin) Dutton of Stuart, Florida and her sister Becky (and Greg) Lundeen of Vermont, Illinois.
Peg was preceded in death by her parents.
She was a homemaker. She also worked at Astoria Fiber Steel, Stevens Publishing, both in Astoria, was a CNA at the McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Illinois, and was a special education aid for Rushville-Industry Schools in Rushville.
Peg helped out at Davis Flower Shop in Astoria. She enjoyed gardening, watching Hallmark movies, baking, especially her famous sugar cookies, and watching her children's and grandchildren's school activities.
She loved and spoiled her cat, Annie.
Services for Peg will be held on Sunday, November 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Pastor Jason Triplett will officiate. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 13th from 5-7 pm at the funeral home. Memorials in Peg's memory may be made to the Schuyler County Humane Society or to her family in care of the Marine Bank, Rushville, Illinois. Interment will be private in the Astoria Cemetery.
