Delbert D. Parson "Cricket" passed away 2021. Delbert was born October 14, 1940, in Norris to Raymond and Mildred (Holford). He married Beverly Kamlager in March of 1960. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Del (Vickie) of Galesburg, Kim (Nicky) of Vancouver, WA and Dana (Stephanie) of Avon, three grandchildren Caleb (Macey), Tanner and Macie, three great grandchildren, two sisters Monie Franzoni and Palma Miller and several nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, one brothers and one sister.
Delbert worked in Chicago on a mink farm then in Bensonville for the railroad, and as a laborer in Springfield. He later worked for Kamlager Electric and went on to retire from IBEW Local 34 after 61 years.
Masonic lodge 734 for 46 Years. He served on the Fulton County board and zoning board of Appels and was Assistant Boy Scout Master for troop 124. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A visitation will he held Thursday, November 4, 2021, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. A Masonic service will be held following the visitation at 6:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow the Masonic Service. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Boy Scout Troop #124.
