Quincy – Melva Jean Crnkovich, 86,
of Quincy, formerly of Wee-Ma-Tuk, died at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, May 29, 2016,
at the Good Samaritan Home in Quincy.
She was born September 17, 1929,
in Canton to George Ivan and Luella Mae (Harris) Maurice. She married William E. Crnkovich on September
16, 1950, in Canton. He preceded her in
death on August 4, 1996.
She is survived by one sister,
Patricia Lee Bybee of Quincy; her niece and caregiver, Jan (Fritz) Wys of
Lewistown; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her
parents; one brother, George Elmer Maurice; and her nephew and caregiver,
Steven Bybee.
Melva was a cost accountant for
International Harvester Co., retiring February 1, 1978. She was an accomplished bowler and golfer, winning
several awards for her talents. She was
a former member and officer of the Canton Women’s Bowling Association, Women of
the Moose, and Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club.
Funeral services will be held at
11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2016, at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton,
where visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be at White Chapel Memory Gardens
in Canton.
