CUBA- Elizabeth A. “Betty” Weller, 84, of Cuba passed away at 4:55 AM on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Renaissance Care Center in Canton. She was born on June 29, 1931 in Cuba, a daughter of Clarace E. and Ana Mae Reid Bell. She married Donald R. Weller on July 9, 1948 in Canton. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2011. She is also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her five children, Virginia (Richard) Lyons of Cuba; Don Weller of Pekin; Nina (Ken) Long of Canton; Becky (Glenn) Bitner of Cuba, and Lisa (Bob) Deutsch Of Trivoli, also surviving are eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Doris Murphy of Cuba.
She worked as a School bus driver for Cuba District #3 until she retired. She was a member of the South Park United Methodist Church in Canton; she loved to read and write poetry, and also enjoyed taking care of her animals. But the thing she enjoyed most was taking car rides and going out to eat with her family.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, where visitation will be one hour before services. Rev. Kevin VanTine will officiate. Burial will be at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton. Memorials may be made to Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
