Bellevue – Imogene Tinnon, 89, formally of Bellevue, resided at Headington Oaks in West Peoria, passed away at 10:15 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Unity Point Health Methodist. She was born on February 9, 1927 in Arkansas to Edard and Ora Bell (Ingram) Simmons. She married John Tinnon on April 17, 1945 in East Prairie, MO. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2013.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; two children, Glenn Tinnon and Joyce Tinnon; one brother; and one sister.
Surviving are four children, Ed (Judy) Tinnon of Bartonville, Jean (Bobby) Dickson of Peoria, Ron Tinnon of Elmwood, and Pam (Virgil) Hall of Bellevue; several grandchildren; two brothers, John (Shirley) Simmons of Texas, and Robert (Wally) Simmons of Bartonville; three sisters, Sue Young of Pekin, Lova Dickson of Missouri, and Jo (James) Clayborn of Missouri.
Taking care of her family was her life.
Memorial services will be at 3 PM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, where a memorial visitation will be from 2-3 PM. Pastor John LaFollette will officiate. Burial will follow the services at Oakridge Cemetery in Farmington, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials can be made to Unity Point Hospice.
