Anne Cordray-Miller
Canton – Anne Cordray-Miller, 94, of Canton, passed away at 5:30 PM on Monday, May 9, 2016 at Sunset Rehabilitation and Health Care in Canton. She was born on July 7, 1921 in St. David to Nicholas and Marija (Mary Kruzich) Klobuchar. She first married Eugene Cordray in 1951, he passed away on November 2, 1966. She then married Paul C. Miller on September 5, 1979. He passed away on February 23, 1988 in Canton, IL.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; seven sisters (two sisters died in infancy); and four brothers.
Surviving are one step-son, Phil Miller; one step-daughter, Annetta Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
Anne was retired as an employee of the State of Illinois. She was an active member of the Catholic Faith, presently a member of St. Michael’s Church of St. David and former member of St. Mary’s Church in Canton where she served as President of the Altar and Rosary Society, and was a founding member of the church food pantry. She served as co-ordinator of the Bereavement Dinners for many years. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a long time Chicago Cubs fan.
Funeral Mass will be at 11 AM on Friday, May 13, 2016 at St. Michael’s Church in St. David, IL. Father Daniel Ebker will officiate. Burial will follow the services at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Canton, IL. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 10:30 AM at the church. Memorial can be made to St. Michaels Church Club.
