Randy R. Bird

Randy R. Bird, 51, of Rushville, IL, passed away at 7:50 pm on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Rushville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was born on July 13, 1972 in Springfield, IL, the son of Lester and Mary Lou (Bollinger) Bird. His parents preceded him in death.

He is survived by his girlfriend, Gina Tuckey, ‘adopted’ brother and sister, Reggie Stambaugh and Patty Prather, and numerous cousins.

Randy enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved to play basketball and played for the Canton Special Olympics basketball team for several years.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in the Browning Cemetery. Pastor Reggie Stambaugh will be officiating. A visitation will take place from 9 to 9:45 am on Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Shawgo Memorial home in Astoria, IL. Memorials may be made to Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
