John R. Horner

John R. Horner, 52, of Havana passed away in rural Topeka, Illinois at 2:46 a.m. on Friday, November 10, 2023. He was born on August 24, 1971 in Pekin, Illinois to Robert and Suzanne (Donze) Horner.

John is survived by his father, Robert Horner of Havana; two children: Bradley Johnson and Brook (Jeremy) Ellis, both of Pekin; granddaughter, Aurora Ellis of Pekin; and companion, Barbara Wheatley of Havana. Also surviving are two brothers: Tony Horner and Timothy Horner. He was preceded in death by his mother.
John enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, and camping. He was most happy when he could be in the outdoors.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Riverside Club.
