He was born February 22, 1933 at Canton the son of Carl Wright and Blanche (Woods) Parkinson. He married Margaret Pedigo on July 3, 1951 in Havana. She survives along with one daughter, Rhonda (Ray) Windmiller of Liverpool, two grandchildren, Sarah (Brendon) Adams of Goldendale, WA; and Emily (Tommy) Malerich of Germantown Hills, four great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Dewey was co-owner of the former D&D Red Fox grocery store in Lewistown and then worked as a meat cutter for many years. He was a member of the Lewistown Lodge AF&AM 104, and the Alligator Club.
Services will be private and burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. To send online condolences visit henrylange.com.
