Canton - Gloria Chambers, 72, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at her residence.
She was born on September 14, 1949 in Macomb to Phillip and Iris (Robertson) Wickert.
She married Thomas Chambers on December 11, 1970 in Glasford. He preceded her in death on May 13, 2009.
Surviving are two children, Todd Chambers of Delavan, Tammy (Mark) Kruschinsky, two brothers, David (Phyllis) Lamm of Ipava, Andrew (Laura) Wickert of Delavan, four sisters, Teresa (Herman) Gohde of Canton, Lisa (Jeff) Harris of Webster, WI, Kathy (Tom Jr) Robertson of Glasford, Roberta (Bernie) of Greenville, N.C., five grandchildren, Adam, Rachel, Brendan, Paige, step granddaughter, Coti, four great grandchildren and sixteen nieces and nephews..She was also preceded in death by her father, Phillip Wickert, her mother Iris Lamm, Barbara Wickert by Whom she was raised, two brothers, Jacky Lamm, Randy Wickert and one sister, Ruthie McCloskey.
Gloria retired from OSF St Francis as the switch board operator. She enjoyed playing bingo but mostly loved spending time with her family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 5-7 pm at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded following visitation and burial of the ashes will follow in Lancaster Cemetery in rural Glasford on Thursday, at 11 am.
