Farmington-Linda L. Morgan, 78, of Farmington, passed away at 2:53 PM on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at Graham Hospital in Canton. She was born on January 22, 1943 in Canton to James Clark and Ella Mae (Swift) Evans Jr. She married James “Rocky” Morgan on November 27, 1963 in Petersburg. He preceded her in death on May, 14, 2004.
Also preceding her in death is her parents, one son, Michael; three brothers, Joseph, Robert, and Thomas.
Surviving are her children, Michelle (Fred) Alcocer of Farmington; Melanie (Scott) Nickerson of Manito; Melinda (Ron) Spencer of Hopedale; 11 grandchildren, Morgan (Richard) Upchurch, Rebekan Nickerson, Courtney (Willie) Worley, Benjamin (Lainee) Nickerson, Logan (Makayla) Nickerson, Brette Alcocer, Tommy Cook, Carlin Alcocer, Austin Goldsmith, Dillon (Nicki) Spencer and Jake (Nicole) Spencer; three- great granddaughters, Adrianna, Addyson and Lily; with one the way. Also surviving is one brother, James Evans of Hanna City and one sister Carol Danz of Farmington.
Linda worked for the Logan Grade School as a custodian and retired after several years, was a volunteer for Camp Big Sky as she had a big heart for disabled and elderly people, never knew a stranger, loved to dance, sing and hum, fish, kayak, and loved the outdoors, but most of all she enjoyed embarrassing her children, and as her family grew, she was always involved with all their activities.
Graveside services will be held at Foster Cemetery in rural Fairview at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 27, 2021, where she will be reunited with her loving husband which would have been there 58th wedding anniversary. Cremation rites will be accorded through Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington. Memorials can be made to Camp Big Sky or BRCA.
