Canton- Janet Hartford, 78, passed away on Thursday, October 14, 2021 in Champaign.
She was born on January 6, 1943 in Canton to Russell and Katherine (Skender) Hedden. They preceded her in death.She married James Hartford on September 20, 1963 in Canton. He preceded her in death on May 29, 2016.
Surviving is her daughter, Kelly (Richard) Mierkowski of Dothan, AL
Also preceding her in death is one sister, Sharon Berry.
Janet was a member of the First Baptist Church, Toastmasters International and the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, painting and flowers.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 from 2-4pm at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton with a funeral service following on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11 am, the funeral home.
Burial will be held at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
