Guy Gilpin

Canton - Guy Gilpin, 71, of Canton, passed away, Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born on May 19, 1950, to Howard and Elva (Churchill) Gilpin. They preceded him in death along with one brother, Gary F. Gilpin.
Guy is survived by his wife Mary Jane (Mowery) Collier-Gilpin, whom he married on May 3, 1997, in Cuba.
Also surviving are two stepsons, Chris (Jody) Collier of Fairview, and Brad Collier of Canton, one brother, Charles "Chuck" (Hilda) Gilpin of Florida, one sister, Joy (Tinker) Thompson of Fairview, two step granddaughters, Cassidy and Caitlyn Collier, two special friends, Miles and Bo Hoops, and several nieces and nephews.
Guy first worked for International Harvester, he later worked at Four Seasons Bowling Alley for many years. He retired in 2012 from the Fulton County Housing Authority where he worked at the Longview High Rise. Guy loved his Pontiac Solstice and his Jaguar. He loved going to car shows and going to racing events. He was a Veteran of the Untied States Army. He was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was also a past member of the Fairview Legion.
Cremation rites will be accorded.
