Robert
G. “Bob” Riccion
i, 84, of Farmington, passed away at 10:28 PM on
Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Unity Point Health Methodist Hospital in
Peoria. He was born on March 1, 1933 in St. David, IL, the son of Hugo
and Jessie (Benns) Riccioni. He married the love of his life Wanda Jean
Balagna on September 4, 1954 at the Farmington United Methodist Church,
they enjoyed 63 wonderful years of marriage. She survives.
Also
surviving is one daughter, Karen J. (Michael) Peterson of Farmington;
two grandsons, Greg (Jodi) Morse; Eric (Heather) Morse both of
Farmington; four great-grandchildren, Adriane, Logan, Brayden, and Owen.
Bob
worked as a Coal miner for several years, and was an Insurance Agent,
and owner/operator with his wife, of Countrywide Appliance and TV Store
in Farmington, his greatest passion was music, as a professional
musician for over 30 years, he loved to played at Gil’s supper club in
Hanna City every Friday and Saturday night for many years. He was a
member of the United Methodist Church of Farmington, over 50-year member
of the Farmington Masonic Lodge #192, and past member of Farmington
American Legion, and Farmington Moose Lodge #1571. Bob served his
country as an United States Army Veteran serving during the Korean War.
Private
Graveside service and burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, where
Military Honors will be conducted. Rev. Jeremy Lafary will officiate. A
celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018
from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall in
Farmington, IL Memorials can be made to Farmington Rescue 1100 or to
