Canton – Gloria G. Spencer, 72, of Canton, passed away at 6:20 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Graham Hospital. She was born on May 27, 1945 in Canton, IL to William and Rose (Maston) Shryock. She married Glen Spencer on December 15, 1962, Oquawka, IL, they were married for 55 wonderful years.
Surviving is her husband, Glen; two children, Andrea (Richard) Flynn of Canton, and Edward “Randy” Spencer of Canton; four grandchildren; one step grandchild; two great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; one brother, Fred (Jane) Shryock of ID.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, one brother, James “Jim” Shryock, and her step father, Delmar “Andy” Anderson.
Gloria was a member of Canton Women’s Bowling League. She was an avid card player and loved playing pitch. Gloria was also a dog lover.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday afternoon on February 11, 2018 at the Phillips Station in St. David, IL. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. Burial of ashes will be at a later date at White Chapel Memory Gardens in Canton, IL.
