Shirley J. Dye
Shirley J. Dye, 81, passed away peacefully Satuday Febuary 10, at Graham Hospital with her family by her side.
Born April 11, 1936, in Canton to George Emery and Marge Lindsey. Raised by Opal and Harry Termin. She married her loving husband Grover Buck Dye on September 11, 1976. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Dianne Widger, Debra (Tim) Neuendorf and Brandi Brown. Two sons, Ron(Leighann) Widger and Steve (Mary) Widger. One daugher in law Emma (Rick) Descamps. Seventeen grandchildren, Danielle Ellis, Devon (Terry) Smith, Breanna and Blake Brown, Gretchen Williams, Becky (Aaron) Mikulich, Richard (Holly) Courtney, Jesse Courtney, Angela Courtney, Williard Neuendorf, Tammy (Jesse) Frew, Jennifer (Donald) Barton, Kandy (Theodore) MIlliner, Stevie (Steve) Widger, Stephanie Wages, Stacey (Caleb) Hale, Jordan Hinchee. Along with 41 lovely great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Two sisters Clara (Frank) Spierowski, Sandra (Dean) Bailey. Five Brothers Raymond Lindsey, Keith Lindsey, Ron Lindsey, Jim Lindsey, Kenneth Lindsey.
Shirley is proceeded in death by her parents, Opal (Harry) Termin, two half- brothers George and Bobby Emery. One son Scooby (Greg) widger, grandson Ronnie Widger, and great granddaughter Jazmyne Harris.
Shirley was well known for her compasionate and loving personality. She worked for Graham hospital as a CNA for many years and later retired from Graham Hospital. Shirley then opened her own business Hands Across America devoted to taking care of those who could not care themselves after retiring from the hospital. She has a passion for caring for people that continues for the remaining part of her life.Shirley enjoyed traveling with her husband, watching live "old" country shows, gardening, shopping and warm weather.
Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Immediately following will be a Celebration of Life at the Canton Elks Lodge.
