Linda M. Kinne, 69, of Vermont, IL, passed away at 12:01 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on August 25, 1948 in Pittsfield, IL, the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Miller) Shoemaker. Linda married Phil Kinne on May 4, 1968 in Vermont, IL. He preceded her in death on November 3, 1997.
Survivors include her 3 sons, Stephen (and Bonnie) Kinne of Lewistown, MO, Byron (and Amanda) Kinne of Canton, IL and BJ (and Paula) Kinne of Vermont, IL, 10 grandchildren, Zach (and Taci) Kinne, Jackie (and Drake) Cottingham, Thadius Kinne, Dezaray Thompson, Candance Tournear, Shavell Tournear, Kayla Kinne, Karly (and Shane) Bertoni, Lilly Kinne and Jenna Kinne, 13 great-grandchildren, brother, Joe Shoemaker of Hamilton, IL, 5 sisters, Leota Campbell of Rushville, IL, Barbara Strang of Plymouth, IL, Sandra Hovarter of Jacksonville, FL, Wanda Peterman of Hamilton, IL and Cindy Hopkins of Rushville, and several Nieces and Nephews.
Linda was a CNA at Snyders Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home in Rushville, IL.
Linda was an avid fan of the WWE. She loved her grandchildren. She also enjoyed riding horses when she was younger and riding motorcycles with her children.
Services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria, IL. A visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the services on Saturday. Interment will be in the Vermont Cemetery in Vermont. Memorials may be made to the Vermont Fire and Rescue Squad.
