Cody Joe Harper, 37, of Canton, went to be with the lord at 12:20 AM on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Unity Point Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria, surrounded by his loving parents, and his friend Rev. Kevin (Leigh) Sibley. He was born on February 22, 1980 in Baytown, Texas, the son of Steve and Debbie (Ford) Harper.
Surviving are his parents of Canton, and his paternal grandmother, Elouise E. Harper of Canton.
Cody Joe graduated from Bloomington Christian Academy, he worked for Fulton County Rehabilitation Center (FCRC) for several years, then working at Farmington Country Manor in Farmington, and last working for Canton Hy-Vee Food Store.
He attended Assembly of God in Canton, and enjoyed video games, anything to do with airplanes, and was a war history buff.
Per Cody Joe’s wishes there will be no services, cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton. Memorials can be made to the Fulton County Rehabilitation Center (FCRC) in Canton. To leave online condolences please visit www.sedgwickfuneralhomes.com
