Farmington – Bernice E. David, 97, of Farmington, passed away at 1:43 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at Farmington Country Manor. She was born on October 2, 1920 in Ashkum, IL to Frank and Katherine (Merrigan) Warmbir. She married Verle David on November 20, 1941 in Ashkum, IL, he preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and four sisters.
Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne Tushaus of Creve Coeur, MO and Sally (Robert) McCrae of El Paso, TX; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Bernice was a member of St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington and the Moose in Farmington. She enjoyed meals with friends at the moose. Bernice was a very loving mother and grandmother.
Per Bernice’s request there will be no services. Cremation rites will be accorded with Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, IL. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date at Ashkum Cemetery in Ashkum, IL. Memorials can be made to St. Matthews Catholic Church in Farmington or Farmington Rescue Squad 1100.
