Dunfermline – Wendy Mae Spahn, 52, of Dunfermline passed away at 7:27 a.m. on Sunday, January 8, 2017, at Unity Point Methodist in Peoria.
She was born December 21, 1964, in Canton to Robert W. and Cindy (Messer) Spahn.
She is survived by her mother, of Dunfermline and her father, of Ohio; two brothers, Bob (Tina) Spahn of Cuba and Tony Spahn of Dunfermline; and numerous nieces/nephews and aunts/uncles.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Chris Spahn.
Wendy attended Dunfermline Grade School and graduated from Lewistown Community High School in 1983. At a young age she began working at the Overall Factory in Canton and later at the Fairview Sale Barn. Her love of traveling found her working out in California, where she worked in Informational Technology for 9 years. She also enjoyed the time she spent traveling to Hong Kong, Hawaii, Oregon, and the Caribbean.
Since returning to Dunfermline, Wendy had operated her own landscape business and most recently was working in car sales. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, working outside in her yard, and was an avid Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs fan. Wendy also loved children, but regrettably never had any of her own.
Per Wendy’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
