Canton – Robert L. Locke, 86, of Canton passed away at 3:30 pm Monday, January 2, 2017 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria. He was born on October 1, 1930 in Canton the son of Thomas and Marie (Bloyd) Locke. Surviving are his two children; Michael Locke and Gail (Billy) Reed Jr. both of Canton, two sisters; Mary Waddell and Helen Locke both of Canton, four grandsons; Jeremy Reed, Jason Tennison, Loren (Jenna) Tennison, and Billy (Annetta) Reed III, four great-grandsons; Asa Reed, Dylan Tennison, Nathan Tennison, and Joseph Tennison. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ed Locke, and three sisters; Louise Widger, Ruth Dunham, and Elma Locke.
Robert worked as a gas station mechanic at Shumaker’s and Foster’s. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion.
Graveside services will be 2pm Friday, January 6, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. The Rev. Monroe Bailey will officiate. Memorials can be made to the Donor’s Choice.
