John Crouch Jr
Canton – John Crouch Jr, 84, of Canton, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Renaissance Care Center in Canton.
He was born on August 20, 1932, in Canton to John and Iona (Sleeth) Crouch Sr. They preceded him in death.
He married Norma Jean Vance on May 28, 1955 in Cuba. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, Connie (John) Dallefeld of Canton, David Crouch of Canton, Angie Evans of Canton, four grandchildren, Eric Dallefeld, Brad Dallefeld, Victoria (Justin) Beaty and Braden Evans.
He was also preceded in death by one brother Thomas, one sister, Josephine Jones and one grandchild Robert Lee Evans III.
John served in the U.S. Army and later worked for Caterpillar Tractor Co. retiring after 40 years of service.
He was a member of the Canton VFW Post #16, Canton American Legion, Canton Bowling Association and a former Boy Scout leader. He also was a member of the South Park United Methodist Church in Canton. John enjoyed seeing his grandkids play in Canton School athletics.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton where visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.
Memorials can be made to the Canton Special Olympics.
