Randy "Pop" Stoneking

Randall L. “Pop” Stoneking, 77, of Canton, passed away on July 17, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on July 10, 1948 in Canton to Lawrence and June (Utsinger) Stoneking. They preceded him in death.

Surviving are his children, Gail Cavaness of Canton, Gretchen Beaty of Canton, Ashley Stoneking of Chicago, son-in-law Scott Beaty, sister, Connie (Dick) Keener, grandchildren, Randy (Stephanie Millikan) Cavaness, Brandon (Jamie) Collier, Caleb Collier, Zachary Collier, Caitlyn (Jeff) Peterson and great grandchildren, Micah, Alanah, Brooklynn, Beaty, Cayson, Cambrie, Kodi, Colt, Colton, Wrigley and Willow and several nieces and nephews.

Randy served in the U.S. Army and later worked as a machinist at Caterpillar retiring in 1999 and currently for Illinois Weld and Machine. He was member of the Canton Elks Lodge #626 and served as a past Exalted Ruler. He was the founder of the Largent Girls Traveling Softball team and a member of the VFW in Havana. His hobbies include fishing, golfing, riding Harleys and was an avid St Louis Cardinals fan.

Cremation rites have been accorded through Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 25, 2025 from 4-6 pm at the funeral home with a military service at 6pm. A dinner along with a story celebration will follow at the Elks Lodge in Canton. The family request you wear your favorite Cardinals or Harley attire.
