She was born May 14, 1942 at Canton, the daughter of James and Marian Eileen (Ague) Elam. She married William J. Bainter on January 1, 1960 at Lewistown. He preceded her in death on January 28, 1997. She was also preceded by her parents, one grandchild, B.J. Bainter, and one sister, Betty Rilea. Survivors include three children, Jeff Bainter of Lewistown, Jerry (Cara) Bainter of Dunlap, and Rhonda (Chad) Ellis of Canton, five grandchildren, Jacob, Jeris, and Jenny Bainter, Mitchell and Amanda Miller, eight great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, one sister, Cindy (Dick) Johnson of Cuba, one brother, Mike (Debbie) Elam of Canton, and a loving companion, Dallas Murrell of Metamora.
Pat retired from the Fulton County Assessors office after 20 plus years. She later was a real estate agent for Gorsuch Realty. She was a member of the Lewistown United Methodist Church, and had served as president of the AFSCME. She enjoyed traveling with friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am Wednesday July 23, 2025 at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Shane Smith officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kirk Edwards Foundation, 600 S.W.
