Michael D. Heikes

Michael D. Heikes, 75, of Yates City, passed away at 3:45 a.m., on Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at OSF Saint Francis Hospital in Peoria.

He was born November 18, 1946, in Roseville, IL, to Paul and Mabel (Alexander) Heikes.
He is survived by three children, Margie (Russ) Clark of Elmwood, Ken (Theresa) Heikes of Elmwood, and Kim (David) Henson of Springfield, OH; two brothers, Keith Heikes and Paul (Teresa) Heikes; four sisters, Mary (Jim) Hagerty, Patricia (Phil) Yeoman, Adrienne (Randy) Wickline, and Kathie Arnold Branch; five grandchildren, Brittany, Brett, McKenna, Quinn, and Chloe; and four great-grandchildren, Brashen, Adelaide, Calvin, and Colton.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Jim Heikes.
Michael was a Welder at International Harvester/Navistar for 42 years. He was a member of the Old North West Company. He enjoyed fishing, blacksmithing, and rendezvous.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
