Dorothy L. Bitner

Dorothy L. Bitner, 86, of Canton, passed away at 9:57 pm February 12, 2022 in Canton. She was born on July 9, 1935 in Coulterville, IL, to John and Margaret (Malott) Henry. Dorothy first married Richard Hamilton and he preceded her in 1975. She later married Arthur Bitner and he preceded her in 1991. Surviving are seven children; Richard "Budd" Hamilton of Canton, James Hamilton of Stevensville, MI, Charles Hamilton of Niles, MI, Patricia Brown of Canton, Margaret (Dan) Smith of Canton, Ronald (Rose LaFountain) Hamilton of Benton Harbor, MI and Donald Hamilton of Benton Harbor, MI, eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, five children; Paula Rodriguez, William Hamilton, Anna Eckley, John Hamilton and Charlotte Hamilton, two brothers, five sisters and two granddaughters.

Visitation will be from 12-2 pm Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home and Crematory in Canton. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.
