Canton – Sarah “Jean” Travis, 88, of Canton, passed away Friday July, 6, 2018 at12:48 a.m. at Graham Hospital in Canton.
She was born on June 15, 1930 in Canton to William and Murlena (Switzer) Brant, They preceded her in death.
She first married William “Bill” Cumpston, she later married James “Perry” Rutherford. They both preceded her in death.
Surviving are four daughters Sandy Pilkington, Lynn Strader, Toni Ginsel and Tina Rutherford, eight grandchildren, Penny Meyers, Josh Strader, April Jones, Dusty Strader, Andy Luker, Jerri Jo Saenz, James Rutherford and Jessica Burford and eighteen great grandchildren.
Also preceding her in death is her significant other Ray Travis, one brother Gerald Brant and one sister Nancy Lamb
Sarah was an LPN, she first worked at Bellwood Nursing home and then later worked for Graham Hospital in Canton. She was a pythian sister, she was a member of the women’s Rebekahs, and a member of the White Shrine, she also loved flowers and her cat.
A Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton on July 10, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.
