Nancy A. Pigg

Smithfield-  Nancy A. Pigg, 79, of Smithfield passed away at 7:49 AM Thursday July 19, 2018 at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born January 22, 1939 at Canton the daughter of Oren and Louise (Palmer) Clark. She married Jimmy L. Pigg on December 16, 1961 at Canton. He died January 8, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Dwight Pigg and one grandson Max Noe. Surviving are four children, Sherry (Michael Hoffman) Clark of Redondo Beach, CA; Jimmy (Medesta) Pigg Jr. of rural Smithfield, Lori Noe of rural Smithfield and Eric (Elizabeth) Pigg of Dunfermline, two brothers, Lawrence Clark of Baltimore, MD; and James Clark of Smithfield, three sisters, Sally Shaw, Janie Smith and Becky Hilton all of Canton, twelve grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

Nancy was a homemaker. She worked on the family farm and had worked at the former Welches Hardware Store in Smithfield and also at the Lutheran Social Service. She attended the Brock United Methodist Church in Smithfield. Nancy enjoyed quilting, sewing, singing in the church choir and playing her saxophone. She loved to cook and spend time with her family.

Cremation will be accorded. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Ellen Dodd officiating. Burial will be in Baughman Cemetery at rural Smithfield. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Brock United Methodist Church.
