Canton – Darrell “Spike” E. Hutton, 74, of Canton, passed away at 6:10 PM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his residence. He was born on January 20, 1944 in Canton to Eugene and Ellen (Oldham) Hutton. He married Sharon Wages on December 17, 1985 in Lewistown, IL, she survives.
Also surviving are three children, Darrell Hutton of Canton, Stephen (Laura) Hutton of MN, and Penny Hutton of Lewistown, IL; one step-daughter, Kelly Barlow of Washington, IL; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers, Danny (Charlene) Hutton of Lewistown and Doyle (Judy) Hutton of Canton; and four sisters, Dixie Hutton of Canton, Deanna (Wayne) of Canton, Delora Skillman of Canton, and Delila Howard of Canton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, David and Donald.
Darrell worked at Caterpillar in East Peoria, retiring after 30 years.
A memorial visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, July 13, 2018 at Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. The family has requested casual attire. Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial of ashes will be held in Walnut Cemetery at a later date.
