Farmington – Phyllis E. Ray, 77, of Farmington, passed away at 2:48 AM on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Unity Point Health Methodist in Peoria, IL. She was born on November 30, 1940 in Peoria to Albert and Mildred (Johnson) Haerle. She married Charles Ray on August 26, 1960 in Peoria, he preceded her in death on December 23, 2004.
Phyllis was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Steve Haerle.
Surviving are two children, Christine (John) Hilliard of Farmington and Donald (Patricia) Ray of Canton; four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren.
Phyllis worked for Canton Manufacturing, Xport Packaging, and later retired as a farmer. She also attended Brunswick Community Church in Trivoli.
Services will be held at 2:15 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at Brunswick Community Church in Trivoli, where a visitation will be held from 1 PM – 2 PM. Rev. Terry England will officiate.
