Marianne E. Matheny, age 73 of Astoria, IL, passed away at 3:57 pm on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on April 30, 1944 in Rockford, IL, the daughter of Ralph and Evalyn (Roland) Pratt. She married Ralph Matheny on June 14, 1980 in Astoria. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Diana (and Leon Lee) Ludtke of Grant, NE, Erica (and Andy) Kassel of Columbia, MO, and Kim (and Chad) Bent of Astoria, one son David (and Christel) Matheny and daughter of Bradfordton, IL, 10 grandchildren; Jessica Vance, Michael Vance, Laura Kassel, John Kassel, Andrew Bent, Charlie Bent, Zain Pemberton, Thomas Wiggins, and Cooper Bent, her brother Art (and Tammy) Pratt of Byron, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Marianne was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Ralph A. Pratt, Jr.
Marianne was an Insurance Broker for France Insurance Agency in Astoria, IL.
She was a member of the Ipava Order of the Eastern Star #226 where she was a Past Worthy Matron and Lecturer.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Eastern Star services will be held at 8 pm, followed by a memorial service. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate. Memorials may be given to the Ipava Order of the Eastern Star #226.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
