Canton- Joyce Dworak, 74, of Canton, passed away Wednesday October 4, 2017 in Canton.
She was born December 5, 1942 in Charleston West Virginia to Harold and Winifred (Mayhew) Youngblood, they proceeded her in death.
She married Darren J. Dworak on July 17, 1965 in Canton, he preceded her in death on June 30, 2017.
Surviving are her daughters, Angie Holthaus of Canton, and Renee Dworak of Waynesville Illinois, one brother Harold (Carmin) Youngblood and two grandchildren Matthew and Mia.
Joyce worked for the Graham Health System for 51 years retiring in 2016, Joyce graduated from the 1st Nurse Practitioner class from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Peoria. she was passionate for her children and grandchildren and never missed any activities they were involved in. She also loved to shop for her children and grandchildren She was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton where she was once the parish nurse. Joyce and Darren enjoyed racing horses together for their entire life together.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2017 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Canton, visitation will be held Monday October 9, 2017 at Oaks Hines Funeral home in Canton from 5 until 7 pm, a rosary service will be held Monday night at the funeral home at 7 pm.
Memorials may be made out to Graham School of Nursing or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
