She was born January 18, 1921 at Lewistown the daughter of Marshall and Margaret (Wilhelm) Arnett. She married Harold G. Vaughn on May 8, 1946 at Ipava. He died January 17, 1990. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters. Surviving are one son, Mike (the late Sue) Vaughn of Ipava, one daughter, Judith (Lon) VanMiddlesworth of Canton, one sister, Nelda Jo Cooper of Lewistown, four grandchildren, Kelly VanMiddlesworth of Canton, Lonnie (Marie) VanMiddlesworth of Springfield, Jenni (Troy) Hopping of Ipava, and Bryan (Megan) Vaughn of Industry, and four great grandchildren, Cody and Kayla Wilcoxen of Canton, Miranda (Skyler) Taylor of Colchester, and Wade Hopping of Ipava.
Frances was a homemaker and had worked at the former Clarytona Manor in Lewistown for several years. She was of the Methodist Faith. She enjoyed bingo, bunco, and taking bus trips.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with Pastor Shane Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery at Lewistown. Visitation will be held one hour to services at the memorial home. Memorial contributions may be made to Graham Hospital extended care activity fund or American Cancer Society.
