Canton-Barbara Elaine Lewis, 78, formerly of Farmington and Yates City, passed away on Saturday, October 14, 2017, at the OSF Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on October 30, 1938, in Lewistown to Leo and Edith (Hadsell) Roberts. They preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death is her husband, Bill “Bumper” Lewis and brother, James Roberts.
Surviving are her children, William Fred (Patricia) Lewis of Vernon Hills, Rodney (Karla) Lewis of Yates City, Lee Lewis of Keithsburg, brother, David Roberts of Creve Coeur, sister Betty Rein of FL, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Barbara was a member of the Elmwood Baptist Church. She worked as a nurse’s aid and also in private home health care.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am, on Wednesday, October 18, 2017, at the Elmwood Baptist Church, with a visitation one hour prior at the church.
Burial will be at the Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown.
