Canton- Gregory A David, 58, of Canton, passed away at 11:40 am, Monday, May 8, 2017, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was born on June 25, 1958, in Canton to Martin and Beverly (Rilea) David.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Beverly and Russell David of Liverpool, a brother, Karl (Marianna) David of Texas, a sister Christine (Tim) VanMiddlesworth of Canton, two half-brothers, several step sisters, one step brother, and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, grandparents, Arnold and Sylvia Rilea and Charles and Maxine David, his sister Linda, brother Kevin, nephew Matthew Hawf and a stepbrother Dean Menard.
Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes. Greg worked as a welder, loved fishing, hunting mushrooms, and playing with the family pets. He attended His River of Life in Liverpool.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 13, 2017 at His River of Life in Liverpool, IL. The Rev. Sheldon Westerfield will officiate. Burial of ashes will follow in Liverpool Township Cemetery. Memorials can be made to family. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is assisting with the arrangements.
