Jimmy Murphy
Farmington – Jimmy D. Murphy, 80, of Farmington died at 5:05 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2016, at Farmington Country Manor.
He was born July 20, 1935, in Farmington to Harry and Naomi (Bollinger) Murphy.
He is survived by five daughters, Debra Scheerer, Diana J. Keefer, Judy Welker, Janette (Richard) Hadsall, and Vicki (John) Welker; one brother, Ted (Connie) Murphy; two sisters, Bernice Miller and Margeurite Vavrosky; thirteen grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bobby and Larry Murphy; and one grandchild, Vanessa Hadsall.
Jimmy was an Inspector at Caterpillar, retiring in 1983, after 30 years of service. He loved seeing and playing with his great-grandchildren, and was a member of the Farmington Moose Lodge.
Cremation rites have been accorded. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016, at Yates City Cemetery. Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
