Mary Patricia Harper

Trivoli- Mary Patricia Harper, 87, of Trivoli, passed away at 6:12 Pm on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at her residence with her loving by her side. She was born on June 20, 1934 in Thompsonville, Illinois. She married Robert Dean Harper on January 1, 1954 in Pontiac, Michigan. He preceded her in death on September 16, 2019.

Also preceding her in death is one brother, David Burlison, and one sister, Diane Hand.

Surviving is her loving family, which she loved dearly, daughter Teresa Lynne (Charles) Crowell of Trivoli, two grandchildren, Kyle and Claire Crowell.

Mary graduated school early, and started her journey to the St. Louis area, then off to Pontiac, Michigan to start working as the youngest supervisor telephone operator with Michigan Bell. Then she met Robert and they got married and moved to the Peoria area, Robert worked at Caterpillar, and Mary transferred to Illinois Bell Telephone Company, where she worked until 1961, as it was time to take care of her family. She loved animals, was a great seamstress, avid Gardner, and enjoyed cooking and reading, and was blessed with wonderful neighbors, everywhere they lived. Mary had been dealing with an illness of Diverticulitis since 2018.

Graveside service and Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli. Rev. Terry England will officiate.
