Brenda Arlene Rynearson, 80, of Canton, went home to Jesus on June 19th, 2021, surrounded by her family at OSF Saint Francis Hospital, Peoria.
She was born October 21st, 1940, to William and Betty West in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. In 1958, Brenda graduated from Elmhurst High School in Ft. Wayne. She earned her Master Marksman Certificate while in high school. On December 31st, 1999, Brenda married Lyle Rynearson in a small chapel in Groveland, Illinois.
For over ten years, Brenda loved showing palomino quarter horses. She then transitioned into a professional dog handler showing German Shepherds across the country. She earned three championships as well as numerous other awards. Brenda was known for her bright, fashionable attire, her love for animals, and her skill at card games. In her later years, she enjoyed tending to her prolific flower gardens, showing classic cars with her husband, and hosting local Pitch tournaments three days a week.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 21 years, Lyle Rynearson, Canton, her brother Ronald West and step-brothers and sisters from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, her children Debra (Chris) Syndram, Eureka, and Mark Grepke, Peoria, her four grandchildren, Thomas Syndram, Peoria, Kristen (Ryan) Bachman, Katherine (Drew) Bauman, and Elizabeth (Austin) Chapin, and four great-grandchildren, all of Morton. She is preceded in death by her parents and twin sons, Raymond and Clayton Bitner.
In celebration of Brenda's life, a visitation will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, June 25th, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm. at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Cremation rites have been accorded.
