Vicki L. Lovell Murphy

Canton – Vicki L. Lovell Murphy, 70, of Canton, passed away at 12:51 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017 at UnityPoint Health – Methodist in Peoria. She was born on October 3, 1946 in Peoria, IL to D. Ray Lovell and Frances (Wood) Lovell Brenner. She married Phillip R. Murphy on March 9, 1968 in Fiatt, IL. He Survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Jay (Jennifer) Murphy and Chad Murphy of Canton, IL; three brothers, Richard Lovell of Kentucky, Randy (Deanna) Lovell of Manito, IL, Dan (Donna) Lovell of Pekin, IL; four sisters, Juanita Robertson of Wisconsin, Carol (Wayne) Kephardt, Cathy (Steve) Ford of Metropolis, IL, Becky (Jerry) Peplow of Manito, IL; five grandchildren, Jeremy (Angie) Page, Amber Turner, Reneigh Fickas, Brittany Murphy, and Marissa Murphy; five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Vicki was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather, daughter, Lisa (Beja) Fickas, two brothers, Robert (Esther) and William (Elvira) Lovell, and sister, Patrica Hardin.

Vicki worked at Spoon River Electric Cooperative for 30 years retiring in 2008. She loved watching her grandkids play sports.

Per Vicki’s wishes there will be no services and cremation rites will be accorded through Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1995 N. Main Street, Canton, IL.
