Glasford – Nancy L. Colgan, 80, of Glasford, passed away at 3:49 PM on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. She was born on June 7, 1937 in Peoria, IL to Edward L. and Vivian E. (Miller) Hahn. She married William F. Colgan on July 21, 1956 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Elmwood, IL, He survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Caryn Colgan of Glasford, IL, Cathy (Jeff) Parsons of St. David, IL, Chris Colgan of CO, Colleen Schone of CO, and Cherri Colgan of Dunfermline, IL; four sons, Bill (Beth) Colgan of East Peoria, IL, John (Lisa) Colgan of Cordova, IL, Mark (Shelly) Colgan of Canton, IL, and Tom Colgan of Glasford, IL; 18 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister, Barbara (Jose) Fernandez of San Antonio, TX, and many other beloved family members and friends.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Justin Parsons.
Nancy worked as a medical transcriptionist at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was of the Catholic Faith. Nancy was a member of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) Amaquonsippi Chapter. Nancy loved spending time with her family. Her hobbies included, sewing, knitting, cooking, traveling, and the love of laughter.
Cremation rites will be accorded with Sedgwick Funeral Homes & Crematory in Canton, IL. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Nancy’s final resting place will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Canton, IL. Memorials can be made to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.
