Canton – Randall “Randy” Dawson, 72, of Canton passed away Saturday August 19, 2017 at Sunset Manor in Canton.
He was born on July 5, 1945 in Peoria, to Lewis “Carl” and Mildred “Kathryn” (Wiley) Dawson. They preceeded him in death.
He married Terry Scalf in Canton, after 46 years of companionship.
He is survived by his husband, one brother Richard (Rose) Dawson of Peoria and two sisters Melody (Keith) Bundy of Peoria, and Carla (Dennis) Erber of Noblesville Indiana, also surviving is many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Randy was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving for three and a half years, he worked at Flemming and Potter in Peoria, Randy and Terry enjoyed camping whenever they could.
Funeral services will be held Thursday August 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton, where visitation will be held one hour prior the services.
Burial will be held at Shields Chapel Cemetery
Memorials may be made American Cancer Society.
